Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ohain

The drive from Brussels Airport to Ohain

Ohain lies 30 km (19 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes around 27 minutes. The route leads south of the capital into Walloon Brabant. Weekday rush hours on the Brussels ring road and its approach roads can slow things down, so allow some extra time if you have a tight onward appointment. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers is the simplest choice. Larger parties, such as wedding guests, business delegations or family gatherings, can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Pick a size that leaves room for luggage as well as people.

Ohain as a destination

Ohain is a village in the municipality of Lasne, in the province of Walloon Brabant. It is a quiet, green and largely residential area southeast of Brussels, close to the Waterloo battlefield region. Most visitors come for family visits, local events, countryside walks or historical sites nearby.

Where to stay near Ohain

Ohain itself is small, so many visitors choose accommodation in neighbouring towns. In La Hulpe, the Dolce La Hulpe Brussels is a well-known hotel and conference venue set in wooded grounds. In nearby Genval, the Château du Lac, which operates as a Radisson Blu hotel, sits beside the lake. Both are a short drive from Ohain.
