Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Nuenen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Nuenen

Nuenen lies in the Dutch province of North Brabant, 135 km (84 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport. The drive normally takes about 1 h 35 m. The route crosses the Belgian-Dutch border and runs mostly on motorway, so the journey is straightforward and needs no change of vehicle.

Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or evening rush hours. Traffic around Brussels, Antwerp and Eindhoven is often heavier then, and roadworks can add delays. Nuenen is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other route.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. There are versions for 1-3 passengers and for 1-4 passengers, so pick the one that matches your party and luggage. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits business teams, wedding parties, school trips and tour groups who want to arrive together in one vehicle.

Nuenen and where to stay

Nuenen is a village just outside Eindhoven, best known for its link to Vincent van Gogh, who lived and worked here in the mid-1880s. The painter's time in the village is a main reason many visitors come. Others come for business in the Eindhoven region.

Nuenen itself is small, so travellers often stay in nearby Eindhoven, which has a wider choice of hotels. Two established names there are:

• Crowne Plaza Eindhoven, a full-service hotel in the city centre
• Mercure Hotel Eindhoven, a well-known mid-range option in the city

Tell us your exact hotel or street address when you book, so the driver can take you to the right door.
