Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Nijlen

The drive from Zaventem to Nijlen

The route covers 62 km (39 miles) and usually takes around 45 minutes. It heads north-east from the airport towards the province of Antwerp. Most of the way is on motorway, followed by regional roads into Nijlen. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours around Brussels and Antwerp can add time, so allow a little extra if you have a tight connection or an appointment on arrival. Because this route is booked only occasionally, it is best to confirm your pickup details in advance.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families fit well in a private taxi, available for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. If you travel with several suitcases, the 4-passenger option leaves more room for luggage. Larger groups can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits family gatherings, wedding parties, sports teams and company groups who want to arrive together in a single vehicle.

Nijlen as a destination

Nijlen is a municipality in the province of Antwerp, in the Kempen region of Flanders. It is a quiet, largely residential area with villages such as Bevel and Kessel, surrounded by green countryside. Travellers come here mainly to visit family and friends or for local business, and the calm setting is a gentle contrast to the busy airport.

Arriving at your address

Please give the full street name and house number when you book, so the driver can go straight to the door. In smaller villages some streets are narrow or closed to through traffic. If your address is hard to reach, mention a nearby landmark or a more convenient drop-off spot.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without any searching.
