Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Nieuwrode

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.

The Drive from BRU to Nieuwrode

Nieuwrode lies 39 km (25 miles) from the airport, and the drive usually takes about 28 minutes. That is a short transfer, but Belgian motorways around Brussels and Leuven can slow down at rush hour, so allow some extra time on weekday mornings and late afternoons if you have a tight connection or appointment. Because Nieuwrode is not one of our most frequently booked routes, it is arranged on request, just like any other transfer.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Couples and small families fit comfortably in a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Choose the 4-passenger option if you travel with a bit more luggage. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits wedding guests, business delegations and group trips and keeps everyone in one vehicle. Pick the size that matches your group, not just the head count, so there is room for suitcases.

Nieuwrode and Where to Stay Nearby

Nieuwrode is a small village in the municipality of Holsbeek, in Flemish Brabant. It is a quiet, rural place, and visitors usually come to see family, attend an event or explore the surrounding countryside. Accommodation in the village itself is limited, so many travellers stay in the nearby university town of Leuven, which has several well-established hotels:

• Leuven Marriott Hotel, a full-service hotel in the town centre
• Martin's Klooster, a hotel set in a converted historic building
• Park Inn by Radisson Leuven, close to the railway station

Tell us the exact address when you book, so your driver can take you straight to your hotel or to the door in Nieuwrode.
