Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Neervelp

The drive from Brussels Airport to Neervelp

Neervelp lies 32 km (20 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 22 minutes. Most of the way is on main roads east of the airport. Rush hour on the Brussels ring and the roads towards Leuven can slow things down, so add a buffer if you have a tight appointment or a connection after arrival. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers is the simplest choice. Larger parties with suitcases are better off in the 8-seat minibus. For wedding guests, business groups or club outings, minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats keep everyone in one vehicle. Pick the size by passengers plus luggage, not by headcount alone.

Meeting point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. It is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.

About Neervelp

Neervelp is a small village in Flemish Brabant, part of the municipality of Boutersem. The surroundings are rural, with fields, quiet lanes and village streets. Leuven is the nearest larger city. Give your driver the exact street address in advance, as small villages can have confusing house numbering.

Places to stay near Neervelp

I cannot name well-known hotels in Neervelp itself with confidence, so here are established options in nearby Leuven, the closest major town:

• Martin's Klooster, a hotel in a converted historic building in Leuven
• Leuven Marriott Hotel, a larger business-oriented hotel in the city centre

Leuven is a short drive from Neervelp, so it works well as a base if you prefer a city stay.
