Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Muide

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Muide

Muide lies 76 km (47 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 52 minutes. The route runs west across Flanders, mostly on motorway. Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush hours, when traffic around Brussels slows down. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other, and your driver tracks the trip so you do not need to arrange anything on arrival.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller groups are best served by a private taxi, with options for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. If you travel with more luggage or a bigger party, a private minibus with 8 seats is the next step. For larger groups, such as wedding guests, school trips or business delegations, minibuses are available with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Pick the size that matches your headcount and the amount of luggage you carry.

Muide and Where to Stay

Muide is a district in the north of Ghent, close to the city's historic centre and the Ghent-Terneuzen canal. It is mainly a residential area, so most visitors stay in central Ghent and reach Muide in a few minutes. Well-known hotels in Ghent include the Marriott Ghent Hotel on the Korenlei, the NH Gent Belfort near the Belfry, and Hotel Erasmus, set in a historic town house. Check your booking address carefully so the driver can take you to the right door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage. Head there once you have your bags and look for your name.
