Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Moerzeke

The drive from Brussels Airport to Moerzeke

Moerzeke lies 48 km (30 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 48 minutes. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, so you can arrange it ahead of your arrival or departure. Most of the journey is on the motorway network, which means travel time depends largely on traffic. Weekday rush hours around Brussels and the Antwerp ring are the usual trouble spots, so allow a little extra time if you are heading to the airport for a morning flight or arriving in the early evening.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option: one version seats up to 3 passengers, the other up to 4. Larger parties travelling with suitcases are better off in a private minibus. The 8-seat minibus suits extended families or small business groups, while the 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48-seat minibuses cover wedding parties, club outings, company events and coach-sized groups. Pick the vehicle by passenger count and luggage rather than by seats alone, since a full vehicle with large bags can feel tight.

Moerzeke as a destination

Moerzeke is a small village in East Flanders, part of the municipality of Hamme and set in the flat, green landscape near the Scheldt. It is a quiet rural place rather than a sightseeing hub, so most visitors come to see family, attend an event or enjoy the surrounding countryside. Because the village is small, it helps to have the exact street address ready when you book, so the driver can take you directly to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching the arrivals hall.
