Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Mijlbeek

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Mijlbeek

Mijlbeek lies 42 km (26 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 37 minutes. This is a route that is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other, with a private driver taking you directly from the terminal to your address. There is no need to plan around timetables or transfers with luggage.

The stated driving time reflects normal conditions. Traffic around Brussels can slow down during the morning and late afternoon rush hours, and rain or winter weather can add more time. If you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make, it is sensible to allow a buffer on top of the 37 minutes.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on the size of your group and how much luggage you carry. The options for this route are:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) and Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): suited to solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with standard luggage. Choose the four-passenger option if you want a little more flexibility.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or colleagues travelling together with several bags.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats: practical for wedding parties, sports teams or business groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: designed for large delegations, tour groups and events where everyone should arrive together in one vehicle.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, or you have bulky items such as sports equipment or musical instruments, choosing the next size up is usually the more comfortable option.

About Mijlbeek

Mijlbeek is a small place in Belgium, and it is a quiet destination rather than a major tourist centre. Because the address may be in a residential or rural setting, it helps to have the full street name and house number ready, along with a phone number the driver can reach you on. That way the final stretch of the journey goes smoothly, even if the exact location is hard to find on a map.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can walk straight over and meet your driver without any searching.
