Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Mespelare

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Mespelare

Mespelare lies 48 km (30 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 41 minutes. The route heads west out of the Brussels area and into East Flanders, so most of the journey is on motorway before it ends on local village roads. Mespelare is booked less often than the big city routes, but it is available on request like any other destination. If you land during the morning or late afternoon rush, allow some extra time, because traffic around Brussels can slow the first part of the trip. Bad weather can have the same effect.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle should match your group size and luggage. A Private Taxi is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, which suits solo travellers, couples and small families. For larger groups there are private minibuses with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. These suit wedding parties, company teams, sports clubs and family gatherings who want to arrive together. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, sports gear or musical instruments, pick the next size up so that everyone has room.

About Mespelare

Mespelare is a small village in East Flanders, part of the municipality of Dendermonde. The surroundings are quiet and rural, with typical Flemish countryside and short distances between farms, houses and fields. Because it is a small place, it helps to have the exact street address ready for your driver, especially if your destination is a private home or a venue outside the village centre.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and be on your way to Mespelare without delay.
