Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Merchtem

The drive from BRU to Merchtem

Merchtem lies 24 km (15 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 24 minutes. The route skirts the northern side of Brussels, so traffic is the main variable. Allow extra time during the morning and evening rush hours, and in bad weather. This is an occasionally booked route, and a private transfer takes you straight to your address without any changes.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families are usually best served by a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Choose the larger taxi if you have several suitcases or a child seat to bring along. Groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. These suit wedding parties, company teams, school trips and sports clubs travelling together. Pick the size by passengers plus luggage, not by headcount alone.
