Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Membach

The drive from Zaventem to Membach

Membach lies 129 km (81 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes about 1 h 23 m. The route heads east across Belgium, so most of the journey is on motorway. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or in winter, when conditions in the higher eastern part of the country can slow traffic. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples and small families usually book a private taxi, with a choice between 1-3 and 1-4 passengers. The 1-4 option leaves a little more room when everyone has a suitcase. For larger parties there are private minibuses with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Group travellers, such as hiking clubs, wedding guests or business delegations, can therefore arrive together in one vehicle instead of splitting up. Pick the size by passenger count and luggage, not just by seats.

About Membach

Membach is a small village in the municipality of Baelen, in the province of Liège in eastern Belgium. It is a quiet, green area close to the German border and the High Fens (Hautes Fagnes) nature region, so it suits walkers and anyone looking for a calm base. Expect a rural setting with few facilities in the village itself. It is worth having the exact address ready for your driver.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching the terminal.
