Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Melsele

The Drive from Zaventem to Melsele

The route covers 54 km (34 miles) and usually takes around 39 minutes. Most of the journey is on motorway, heading north-west towards Antwerp and then on to the Waasland side of the river. Weekday rush hours around Brussels and the Antwerp ring can slow things down, so allow extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make. Melsele is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage and walked into the arrivals area.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For smaller parties, a private taxi is the simplest option: one version seats 1 to 3 passengers and another seats 1 to 4. Families or colleagues travelling with a lot of luggage may prefer the extra space of the 8-seat minibus. For larger groups, private minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats are available, so a whole group can travel together in one vehicle instead of splitting up. Pick the size that matches your headcount plus bags rather than headcount alone.
