Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Melles

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Melles

The road transfer from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Melles covers 57 km (35 miles) and usually takes around 41 minutes. A private transfer is a practical choice here because the route is a less frequently booked one, so it is not served by the kind of frequent shuttles you find on busier airport routes. Your driver takes you door to door, with no need to plan connections or carry luggage between stops.

The stated driving time assumes normal traffic. Weekday mornings and late afternoons around Brussels can be slower, and rain or roadworks can add minutes. If you have a fixed appointment or a check-in time in Melles, build in a comfortable buffer rather than planning for the shortest possible journey.

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without searching the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The right vehicle depends mostly on your group size and how much luggage you carry. The options are:

• Private Taxi for 1-3 passengers or for 1-4 passengers, well suited to individual travellers, couples and small families
• Private Minibus 8 Seats for groups of up to 8 passengers
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats for larger parties, such as wedding guests or business teams
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats for big groups, events and organised tours

If you travel with several large suitcases, sports equipment or child seats, consider the next size up so everyone rides comfortably. This route is available on request like any other, so simply choose the vehicle that fits your party when you book.

Arriving in Melles

Melles is a quiet destination, far removed from the bustle of the capital. Most visitors come to see family, attend a local event or enjoy a calmer base in the Belgian countryside. For the drop-off, have the exact street address and house number ready when you book, since smaller places can have narrow streets and similar-sounding names nearby. If you are heading to a private home or a venue, it also helps to keep a local phone number at hand in case your driver needs to confirm the final approach.
