Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Meldert

The Drive from Brussels Zaventem Airport to Meldert

The route covers 34 km (21 miles) and usually takes about 32 minutes by road. That is a short hop compared with many airport transfers, so you can be at your door soon after landing. Belgian motorways around Brussels get busy during the morning and late-afternoon rush hours, and roadworks or bad weather can slow things down. If you have a fixed appointment or a connecting booking at the other end, build in some extra time on top of the standard journey.

Meldert is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route from the airport.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends mostly on group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) suits solo travellers, couples and small families with standard luggage.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) gives a little more room for a group of four.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats works for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats fit wedding parties, sports teams and company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats cover big delegations, tour groups and event guests who need to arrive together.

If you are unsure, pick the larger option when you have oversized luggage such as sports equipment or prams.
