Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Medell

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Medell

Medell lies 162 km (101 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes 1 h 44 m. The route heads east across Belgium towards the German-speaking part of the country, and the final stretch leaves the motorway for quieter regional roads. Medell is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route.

Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or in winter. Snow and ice can slow traffic on the higher roads of the eastern Ardennes. Your driver watches conditions and adjusts the route where needed, so you do not have to plan around it.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet up without searching the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

A long transfer is more comfortable with enough space, so pick a vehicle that suits your group and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats and 16 Seats: a good fit for larger families, friends travelling together or small teams with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, clubs, school trips and events, where everyone arrives together in one vehicle.

If you are unsure which size works best, choose the larger option when you carry sports gear, strollers or oversized luggage.

About Medell as a Destination

Medell is a small village in the Amel area of Belgium's East Cantons, in the province of Liège. The surrounding landscape of green hills, forests and farmland draws walkers, cyclists and cross-country skiers. The High Fens nature region and the towns of Sankt Vith and Malmedy are within reach. Because the village is small and quiet, it is worth giving your driver the exact street address in advance so the drop-off goes smoothly.
