Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Mater

The drive from Brussels Airport to Mater

Mater lies 71 km (44 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes about 1 h 5 m. The route heads west across Flanders, and most of the journey is on motorway. Traffic around the Brussels ring can slow things down on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so it is sensible to allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection at the other end. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request in the same way as any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller groups are best served by a private taxi, with one option for up to 3 passengers and another for up to 4. If you are travelling with more luggage or a bigger party, the private minibus range starts at 8 seats and continues with 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 seats. That makes the route workable for families, wedding guests, sports teams and company groups alike. When in doubt, count your suitcases as well as your passengers and choose the next size up.

Since it is a small place, it helps to have the exact street address ready when you book, so your driver can take you to the right door.

Meeting Point
