Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Markegem

The drive from Brussels Airport to Markegem

Markegem lies 91 km (57 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport. The drive normally takes about 1 h 8 m, heading west across Flanders. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. The ring road around Brussels is the least predictable part of the trip. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours can slow it down, so allow a little extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make at the other end.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so pick the larger one if you are travelling with four people and a lot of luggage. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits wedding guests, family gatherings, sports teams and company groups who want to arrive together. Everyone travels in one vehicle, with no need to coordinate several cars.

About Markegem

Markegem is a small village in the municipality of Lichtervelde in West Flanders. The surroundings are quiet and rural, typical of the Flemish countryside. A door-to-door transfer is practical here, because the village is small and a direct private ride saves you from piecing together connections on arrival. Share the exact street address when you book so the driver can take you straight to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House at Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.
