The Drive from Brussels Airport to Malè

The route covers 1022 km (636 miles) and typically takes 11 h 38 m without long stops. This is a full-day journey, so the schedule matters more than on a regional transfer. Allow extra time for summer weekends, winter ski-season Saturdays and any bad weather in the mountains, as the last part of the trip runs through Alpine valleys in Trentino. Plan on at least one or two rest breaks, especially if you travel with children or elderly passengers. It is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other.

Ski bags, boots and winter clothing take up far more room than ordinary suitcases. Groups of 5 to 8 can use the 8-seat minibus. For larger parties such as ski clubs, wedding guests or tour groups, minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats are available. On a drive of nearly twelve hours, a bit of extra space makes the trip much more pleasant.

Malè and Where to Stay

Malè is a small town in the Val di Sole in the Trentino region of northern Italy, surrounded by mountains. It is a base for exploring the valley, with hiking in summer and skiing in winter. I cannot name long-established hotels in Malè itself with confidence. Travellers who want a larger choice of well-known places to stay often look at Madonna di Campiglio, the nearby mountain resort town. Established names there include:
