Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Lille (France)

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Lille

The trip covers 129 km (81 miles) and typically takes 1 h 25 m. You leave Zaventem, cross Belgium towards the French border and arrive in Lille without needing to change vehicles. Allow extra time on weekday mornings and late afternoons, when the Brussels ring road is busy, and in bad weather. If you have a train or an appointment in Lille, plan a comfortable buffer.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you collect your luggage, so you can meet up without searching the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For small groups, a private taxi is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, depending on how much luggage you carry. Larger parties can choose a private minibus. There are 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 seat versions, so everything from a family to a full tour group or company delegation is covered. If your party is close to a vehicle's limit and has bulky bags, take the next size up.

Lille as a Destination

Lille is the main city of northern France and lies close to the Belgian border. It is known for its Flemish-style Grand Place, the Vieille Bourse, the Palais des Beaux-Arts and its two main stations, Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe. The old town is compact and pleasant on foot, with plenty of cafés and brasseries. Tell us your exact address, as streets in the centre are often narrow or pedestrianised.
