Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Lierde

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet up without searching the terminal.

The Drive from Zaventem to Lierde

Lierde lies 58 km (36 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 52 minutes. The route leads west out of the Brussels region and into East Flanders, ending on quieter local roads as you approach the village area.

Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or late-afternoon rush, when the Brussels ring road and the main motorways can slow down considerably. Bad weather and roadworks can also add minutes, so it is wise not to schedule a tight appointment right after arrival. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, and the driver follows the quickest sensible way on the day.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you need depends mainly on group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with normal luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling together with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: practical for wedding parties, company teams and organised groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large groups, events and coach-style travel, up to 48 passengers.

If you are unsure between two sizes, choose the larger one when you carry bulky luggage such as sports equipment or musical instruments.

About Lierde

Lierde is a rural municipality in East Flanders, set in the hilly countryside of the Flemish Ardennes. It is a quiet area of villages, farmland and walking and cycling routes, far from the bustle of the capital. A private transfer is a convenient way to get there directly, since the area is not well suited to carrying luggage across several connections.
