Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Lichtaart

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can head there directly and meet your driver without any searching.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Lichtaart

Lichtaart lies 81 km (51 miles) from the airport, and the journey by road usually takes about 57 minutes. The route leads northeast from Zaventem into the province of Antwerp and ends in the quiet countryside of the Campine region. Because this is a longer transfer, it is worth allowing some extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush, when the motorways around Brussels and Antwerp tend to be busier. Roadworks and heavy rain can also add a few minutes, so plan connections or appointments with a small buffer.

This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other, and the driver is assigned to your booking in advance.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Group

The right vehicle mainly depends on how many people and how much luggage you are bringing.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling together with several suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: work well for wedding guests, sports teams or company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large parties such as events, tours and organised group trips.

If your group is close to the upper limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone travels comfortably with their bags.
