Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Kortenberg

The Drive from BRU to Kortenberg

Kortenberg sits just 13 km from Brussels Zaventem Airport, a short hop that typically takes around 16 minutes by road. This makes it one of the quicker airport transfers in the region, with the route running through a mix of motorway and local roads east of Brussels. During morning and evening rush hours, or when there are events nearby, it's wise to allow a little extra time, though delays on this stretch are rarely significant given the short distance involved.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The route is served by a range of vehicle options to match group size and luggage needs:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers) — ideal for solo travellers, couples, or small families
• Private Minibus 8 Seats — suited to small groups or families with extra bags
• Private Minibus 16 to 24 Seats — practical for colleagues travelling together or larger families
• Private Minibus 32, 40, or 48 Seats — designed for group tours, conferences, or event transport

Booking the right size in advance ensures comfortable seating and enough room for luggage, especially for groups travelling with sports equipment or extra bags.

Arriving in Kortenberg

Kortenberg is a quiet municipality in Flemish Brabant, known for its green surroundings and proximity to both Brussels and Leuven. It offers a calmer alternative to staying in the city centre while keeping the capital within easy reach. The area is popular with those working locally or visiting family, rather than typical tourist traffic.

For a smooth pickup at the airport, agree on a clear meeting point with your driver beforehand, especially if arriving with checked luggage — the arrivals hall can get busy, and having a fixed spot saves time. For the return trip, confirm your Kortenberg pickup address precisely, as some streets in smaller towns can be easy to miss without clear directions.
