Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Jodoigne

The drive from BRU to Jodoigne

Jodoigne lies 48 km (30 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey by road typically takes about 36 minutes. The route leaves the airport area and heads southeast into Walloon Brabant, so the scenery changes from busy motorway surroundings to open farmland. It is an occasionally booked route, which makes a pre-arranged private ride the simplest way to cover the distance without planning connections.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or colleagues travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24 and 32 Seats: for wedding parties, sports teams, and company groups.
• Private Minibus 40 and 48 Seats: for large delegations and organised tours that want to arrive together.

If your group is close to the limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.

Jodoigne as a destination

Jodoigne is a small French-speaking town in Walloon Brabant, known in Dutch as Geldenaken. It sits in a rural, agricultural part of Belgium, away from the main tourist routes. Visitors usually come for family visits, local events, business in the area, or a quiet base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Allowing time for the journey

The 36-minute estimate applies to normal driving conditions. Traffic around Brussels can be heavier on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so it helps to allow extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a tight schedule on arrival. For a departure from Jodoigne to the airport, plan to set off with a comfortable margin before check-in closes, especially on busy travel days.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there after baggage reclaim.
