Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Izel

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Izel

The transfer covers 171 km (107 miles) and usually takes around 1 h 54 m. Most of the journey is on motorway heading south-east, then the roads become quieter as you reach the wooded countryside of southern Belgium. Izel is not one of our most frequently requested destinations, but we arrange it on request just like any other route.

Allow some extra time if you leave during the weekday morning or late-afternoon peaks around Brussels, since congestion on the ring road can add to the journey. Winter weather in the Ardennes region can also slow the final stretch, so a little margin helps if you have a connection or an appointment on arrival.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you bring.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good option for a group of friends or a larger family with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: for wedding parties, reunions, and mid-sized groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: for large groups, clubs, and organised events.

If your party sits close to a vehicle's limit, choosing the next size up gives everyone more space on a trip of nearly two hours.

About Izel

Izel is a small village in the province of Luxembourg in Wallonia, in the south of Belgium. It is surrounded by forest and rolling countryside, which makes it a quiet base for walking, cycling, and enjoying the nature of the region. Services in the village itself are limited, so it is worth arranging your onward plans and supplies in advance.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
