Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Itterbeek

The Drive from BRU to Itterbeek

Itterbeek lies 24 km (15 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 22 minutes. The route crosses from the eastern side of the Brussels region to the western edge, so you leave the airport area and head towards the quieter, greener countryside beyond the capital. This is an occasionally booked route, and your driver will be familiar with the best way to get there.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without searching the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a Private Taxi is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so choose the larger one if you carry a lot of luggage. Groups can book a Private Minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits family gatherings, wedding parties, company teams and school or club trips arriving on the same flight. Everyone travels together in one vehicle, so nobody has to coordinate several cars.

Itterbeek as a Destination

Itterbeek is a village in the municipality of Dilbeek, in Flemish Brabant, just west of Brussels. It has a residential, rural character, with the Pajottenland countryside close by. Visitors usually come to see family, attend local events or stay somewhere calmer than central Brussels while remaining close to the city.

Timing Your Journey

The 22 minutes is a typical driving time. Traffic on the roads around Brussels can be heavy during weekday rush hours, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or an event to reach on arrival. If you are travelling in the other direction to catch a flight, leave a comfortable buffer before your check-in deadline.
