Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Huise

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Huise

Huise lies 79 km (49 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the trip normally takes about 55 minutes by road. The route leads west across Flanders, away from the capital and towards the Scheldt valley. Because the first part of the journey runs around the Brussels area, weekday morning and late-afternoon traffic can add noticeable time. If you have a fixed appointment or a connecting booking at the destination, allow a comfortable buffer beyond the standard driving time.

This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request in the same way as any other, with a private vehicle just for your party.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Small groups are well served by a private taxi, with options for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Four people with a normal amount of luggage will usually be more comfortable in the 1-4 passenger car.

For larger parties, there is a range of private minibuses:

• 8 seats for extended families or small groups with extra bags
• 16 and 24 seats for wedding parties, clubs or business teams
• 32, 40 and 48 seats for large groups travelling together to one address

Choose a size based on both passengers and luggage. A little spare room is better than a full vehicle, especially after a long flight.

About Huise

Huise is a quiet village in East Flanders, part of the municipality of Zingem and set along the river Scheldt. The surrounding countryside is rural and green, with the town of Oudenaarde and the hills of the Flemish Ardennes close by. Since it is a small place, it is best to have the exact street address ready for your driver, particularly for a private house, a holiday rental or a venue in the countryside.

Meeting Point

Your driver will be waiting at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can walk over without a long search through the terminal.
