Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Houthem

The drive from Brussels Airport to Houthem

The journey covers 127 km (79 miles) and typically takes about 1 h 20 m. Houthem is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route, and your driver takes you straight from the airport to your door without stops or changes.

Brussels and the motorways around it can be busy during the morning and late-afternoon rush hours, and bad weather can slow traffic at any time of year. If you have a fixed appointment, a ferry, or an event at the other end, it is sensible to add a little buffer to the 1 h 20 m estimate.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller parties are best served by a private taxi. We offer one for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers, so a family of four with luggage can travel together comfortably. Larger groups can book a private minibus, and the options are:

• 8 seats for groups of up to 8 passengers
• 16 seats for groups of up to 16 passengers
• 24 seats for groups of up to 24 passengers
• 32 seats for groups of up to 32 passengers
• 40 seats for groups of up to 40 passengers
• 48 seats for groups of up to 48 passengers

When you travel with a lot of suitcases, sports equipment or other bulky items, it is worth choosing the next size up so that everyone has space.

About Houthem

Houthem is a small place in Belgium, and a transfer is often the easiest way to reach it, especially after a long flight. Because the area is quiet and rather rural, it helps to have the full address of your accommodation or meeting place ready when you book, so that your driver can plan the route precisely.

Meeting Point

Your driver will wait for you at Java Coffee House, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
