Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Houthalen-Helchteren

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching the terminal.

The Drive to Houthalen-Helchteren

The route covers 81 km (51 miles) and typically takes around 52 minutes. From Zaventem you head east towards Limburg province, and the last stretch leaves the motorway for local roads into the municipality. Brussels has heavy traffic around the ring road during the morning and late-afternoon rush hours, and that can stretch the journey. If you have a tight appointment or a connection at the other end, add a buffer on top of the usual time. Because this route is booked less often than the big city transfers, it is arranged on request, and your driver will already know your destination address before you land.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you have.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business trips.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: work well for team outings, wedding parties and company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: cover large groups, school trips, conferences and club travel in a single vehicle.

If you are close to the limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.
