The route covers 81 km (51 miles) and typically takes about 52 minutes. Most of the journey runs on motorway eastward from Zaventem towards the province of Limburg, followed by a short stretch on local roads into Houthalen. Allow extra time if you land during the morning or late-afternoon rush hour, when the roads around Brussels and Leuven are at their busiest. Heavy rain or roadworks can also add a few minutes. Houthalen is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route, so you can arrange it ahead of your arrival.

Houthalen is part of the municipality of Houthalen-Helchteren in Limburg, in the north-east of Belgium. It sits in the Kempen region, an area of pine woods, heathland and nature reserves. The Hoge Kempen National Park lies close by, which makes the area popular with walkers and cyclists. The former mining history of the Limburg coalfield also left its mark on the surrounding towns. It is a quiet, largely residential place, so the transfer suits both visitors heading for the countryside and travellers returning home.
