Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Hotel Aviation, Brussels

The drive from BRU to Hotel Aviation

The route covers 17 km (11 miles) and normally takes around 28 minutes. That is a short ride, but Brussels traffic is not constant. Weekday mornings and late afternoons, when commuters fill the ring road and the main routes into the city, can add noticeable time. If you have a tight connection or an early meeting, allow a little extra margin. This route is booked less often than the busiest ones, but it is available on request like any other, and your driver is briefed on the destination in advance.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller groups are best served by a private taxi. There is a version for up to 3 passengers and one for up to 4, so choose according to how much luggage you carry as well as the headcount. Larger parties, such as business delegations, school trips, wedding guests or tour groups, can book a private minibus. The sizes run from 8 seats in steps of 8 up to 64 seats, so you can match the vehicle to the group. For example, a party of 14 fits a 16-seat minibus, and a group of 30 can use the 32-seat option. Everyone then arrives together in a single vehicle and no one has to organise separate rides.

Meeting point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there from baggage reclaim.

Places to stay in Brussels

I cannot name well-known, established hotels with certainty for the immediate surroundings of this address, so here are some long-standing options in central Brussels, the nearest major destination. They are a short ride from the airport, and the same transfer service can take you to any of them.

• Hotel Metropole is a historic grand hotel on Place de Brouckère, open since the late 19th century.
• Hotel Amigo sits right beside the Grand-Place, in the heart of the old town.
• Hotel Le Plaza is a classic Brussels address near the Boulevard Adolphe Max.

If your stay is in a different part of the city, simply give the exact address when you book so the driver has it ahead of time.
