Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Hoelbeek

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Hoelbeek

Hoelbeek lies 100 km (62 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes around 1 h 6 m. Hoelbeek is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route, with a driver assigned to your booking in advance.

The journey is a single door-to-door ride, so there are no train connections to plan around and no luggage to carry between platforms. Belgian motorways around Brussels get busy during the morning and late-afternoon rush hours, so if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make, it is sensible to allow some extra time beyond the typical driving time. Roadworks and bad weather can also add minutes, particularly in winter.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage, not just the head count.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business trips. Choose the larger option if you are four people or carry several suitcases.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling together with plenty of bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, wedding parties, sports teams, school trips and company events, with capacity for up to 48 passengers in one vehicle.

If you are unsure which size works best, pick the next category up when luggage is heavy, as it makes the ride noticeably more comfortable over an hour on the road.

About Hoelbeek

Hoelbeek is a small village in the Belgian province of Limburg, belonging to the municipality of Bilzen. It is a quiet, rural place rather than a major tourist hub, so it is worth confirming your exact address when you book. That helps the driver plan the final part of the route precisely, especially if your destination is a private house or a smaller side road.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can walk over without any detour.
