Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Hoboken

The drive from BRU to Hoboken

Hoboken lies 42 km (26 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes about 34 minutes. The route heads north towards Antwerp and finishes on the southern side of the city. Weekday rush hours around the Brussels ring and the Antwerp ring road can slow things down, so add a buffer if you have a tight appointment or a connection to catch. This is an occasionally booked route, and every transfer is private, so you travel directly without stops for other passengers.

Meeting point at the airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the natural choice: one version seats 1-3 passengers and another seats 1-4. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Match the seat count to your group size and remember that suitcases take up space too, so a slightly larger vehicle is worth considering for groups with a lot of luggage.

Hoboken as a destination

Hoboken is a district of the city of Antwerp, south of the centre and close to the River Scheldt. It is mostly residential, with an industrial past, and it offers a quieter base than the busy city centre while remaining close to the rest of Antwerp. Give your driver the exact street address so the drop-off is smooth.

Where to stay near Hoboken

I cannot confidently name long-established hotels in Hoboken itself, so here are two well-known options in Antwerp, the nearest major city:

• Hilton Antwerp Old Town, in the historic centre
• Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, close to Antwerp-Central station

Both are a short drive from Hoboken and can be used as the drop-off address for your transfer.
