The drive from BRU to the city centre

The route covers about 15 km (9 miles) and typically takes around 24 minutes. The road leads from Zaventem into central Brussels, and the hotel sits close to the Central Station area on the edge of the historic centre. Weekday rush hours, especially the morning inbound and late-afternoon periods, can slow the last stretch into the city. If you have a tight schedule, allow some extra time. This route is booked less often than some others, but it is available on request like any other.

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice: one option takes up to 3 passengers, another up to 4. Larger parties travelling with luggage are better off in a minibus. The 8-seat minibus suits a group of friends or an extended family. The 16- and 24-seat versions work for tour groups and delegations. Bigger groups, such as conference parties or school trips, can book minibuses with 32, 40, 48, 56 or 64 seats, so everyone arrives together.

Where to stay near Grand Place

Hilton Brussels Grand Place is a large, well-known international hotel in the centre of Brussels, convenient for the Grand Place, the main shopping streets and the rail connections at Brussels-Central. If you want to compare options in the same part of the city, Hotel Amigo is a long-established luxury hotel just steps from the Grand Place. Hotel Métropole, a historic hotel on Place de Brouckère, is another landmark address in the centre. Both are within walking distance of the main sights.

Public transport alternative

Airport train to Brussels-Central, then a short walk to the hotel, no change required, approx. 25–35 minutes total. Trains run from the station beneath the terminal, but with heavy bags or a larger group, a private transfer is usually more comfortable.
