Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Herten

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Herten

The route covers 73 km (46 miles), and the typical driving time is 1 h 3 m. That is a comfortable journey by road, but it is only an estimate. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours around Brussels and on the main motorways can add noticeable time, as can roadworks and bad weather. If you have a connecting appointment, a train to catch or an event with a fixed start, plan a generous buffer rather than counting on the minimum.

Because Herten is a less frequently booked destination, this transfer is arranged on request, just like every other route. Sending your exact address when you book helps the driver plan the most sensible way to get there.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Group

The vehicle you choose depends mainly on how many people and how much luggage you are bringing.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suited to solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling together with several suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: practical for company groups, wedding parties and club trips.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large delegations, tour groups and organised events, so everyone arrives together in one vehicle.

If your party is close to the limit of a vehicle, or you carry bulky items such as sports gear or musical instruments, it is safer to go one size up.

Herten as a Destination

Herten is a small place, and travellers going there usually have a specific address in mind, such as a private home, a business or an event venue. Because it is not a large tourist centre, it is worth having the full street address and a contact phone number ready when you book. That way the driver can take you straight to your door, rather than to a general area.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go there straight from the baggage hall.
