Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Hertain

The drive from Brussels Airport to Hertain

The route covers 112 km (70 miles) and typically takes 1 h 12 m by road. You travel from the Flemish Brabant region out to western Hainaut, close to the French border. Hertain is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or in bad weather, as the first part of the journey is the busiest.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) or (1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or groups with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: for wedding parties, company trips, sports teams and other larger groups travelling together.

If you are unsure, pick the larger option when you carry bulky items such as prams or sports equipment.

About Hertain

Hertain is a quiet village within the municipality of Tournai, in the province of Hainaut in Wallonia. The surroundings are mostly residential and rural, so a door-to-door transfer is often the simplest way to arrive. Please have the exact address to hand when you book, so the driver can take you directly to your door.

Where to stay near Hertain

Hertain itself is small and has little in the way of well-known hotels. The nearest town with an established choice of accommodation is Tournai, which is a short drive away. Two hotels you may want to look at there are the Mercure Tournai and the Hôtel Cathédrale, both close to the historic centre. Tournai is known for its cathedral and its old town, which makes it a convenient base for visiting the area.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.
