Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Heestert

The drive from Brussels Airport to Heestert

Heestert lies 102 km (64 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey usually takes about 1 h 14 m. The route runs west across Flanders, so you travel door to door without changing trains or lugging bags through stations. Heestert is not a frequently requested destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other. Morning and evening rush hours around Brussels and the ring road can slow the start of the trip, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment, a hotel check-in or an event on arrival. Bad weather can also add minutes on the motorway.

Choosing the right vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families will find a private taxi the simplest choice. It is available for 1-3 passengers or 1-4 passengers, so pick the version that gives your luggage enough space. Larger parties can book a private minibus:

• 8 seats for groups of up to 8 people
• 16 and 24 seats for wedding parties, families travelling together or small business groups
• 32, 40 and 48 seats for larger delegations, club trips or event guests

If you are unsure, choose the next size up when you travel with a lot of luggage.

Heestert and where to stay nearby

Heestert is a small village in the Zwevegem area of West Flanders. It is surrounded by quiet countryside, which makes it a calm base away from the busier cities. I cannot name established hotels in Heestert itself with confidence, so the suggestions below are in the nearby city of Kortrijk, which has a wider choice of accommodation:

• Hotel Messeyne, a long-standing hotel in the centre of Kortrijk
• Parkhotel Kortrijk, a well-known hotel for both business and leisure guests

Tell us the exact address when you book, so the driver can take you straight to the right door in Heestert or Kortrijk.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without a long walk or any confusion.
