Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Haasrode

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can head there straight from baggage reclaim.

The Drive to Haasrode

The route covers 28 km (17 miles) and normally takes around 23 minutes. Haasrode is booked only occasionally, but the trip is straightforward: you leave the airport area and continue towards the Leuven region. Allow extra time during the morning and evening rush hours, when the roads around Brussels and Leuven are busiest. Bad weather can also slow things down. If you have a tight connection or an early meeting, plan a small buffer.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so check your luggage as well as your headcount. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits business teams, wedding parties, sports clubs or conference delegations who want to arrive together. If you are close to a vehicle's limit, choose the next size up for extra room.
