Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Haaltert

The drive from Brussels Airport to Haaltert

Haaltert lies 40 km (25 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 30 minutes. The route leads out of the airport area and west across Flanders, so most of the journey is on main roads and motorways. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other transfer.

Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour, when traffic around the Brussels ring road is heaviest. Bad weather can also slow the trip. If you have a tight onward commitment in Haaltert, such as a meeting or an appointment, plan a comfortable buffer instead of counting on the minimum driving time.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller groups are best served by a private taxi. There are two options: one for up to 3 passengers and one for up to 4 passengers. Pick the larger one if you are travelling with several suitcases.

For bigger parties, private minibuses are available in several sizes:

• 8 seats for families or small groups with extra luggage
• 16 seats and 24 seats for business teams, clubs or wedding guests
• 32, 40 and 48 seats for large groups travelling together

Choose the size by passenger count and luggage, so that everyone travels in one vehicle.
