Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Grufflingen

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without a long search.

The Drive to Grufflingen

The transfer covers 170 km (106 miles) and typically takes 1 h 47 m. That is a fair distance, so it suits travellers who want to arrive directly at their door without planning connections after a flight. The route leads from the Brussels area towards the east of Belgium, and the last part of the journey usually runs through hillier, more rural terrain.

Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late afternoon rush around Brussels, since the first stretch of the trip can be slower then. Winter weather in the eastern uplands can also add some minutes, so it is sensible not to schedule a tight appointment right after arrival.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you book depends on how many people travel and how much luggage you bring:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suitable for solo travellers, couples, small families or colleagues travelling together.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with extra suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: practical for club trips, wedding parties or business groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large tour groups, school parties and organised events.

If your group is close to the upper limit of a vehicle, or you carry bulky items such as sports gear or musical instruments, choosing the next size up gives everyone more comfort on a trip of almost two hours.

About Grufflingen

Grufflingen is a small village in the German-speaking part of eastern Belgium, part of the municipality of Amel in the province of Liège. It is a quiet, rural setting surrounded by the hills and countryside of the region, and it is not a place with a large tourist infrastructure. Because the area is spread out, it helps to have the exact address of your destination ready when you book, so the driver can take you directly to the right door. This route is booked less often than the major city transfers, but it is available on request just like any other.
