Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Groot-Overlaar

The Drive from Zaventem to Groot-Overlaar

The route covers 42 km (26 miles) and typically takes about 28 minutes. Your driver collects you at the airport and takes you straight to your address, with no changes and no waiting for connections. Brussels traffic can slow things down, especially at the morning and late-afternoon peaks, so it is sensible to allow some extra time if you have a tight appointment or a fixed check-in. Groot-Overlaar is booked less often than the busiest airport routes, but the transfer is available on request just like any other.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go there directly after baggage reclaim.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller parties can choose between a private taxi for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers. The larger taxi is the better option if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or want some extra space. For bigger groups, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This makes the route workable for families, wedding guests, company teams or club trips arriving on the same flight. Pick the size that matches your headcount and luggage, rather than the minimum that fits.

About Groot-Overlaar

Groot-Overlaar is a small village in the Flemish part of Belgium, where the pace is quiet and the surroundings are mostly rural. Because it is a small place, it helps to have the exact street address and house number ready for your driver. If you are heading to a private home, a farm or a local venue, add any useful details, such as an access road or a gate, when you book. That way the driver can find the entrance without delay, even at the end of a long flight.
