Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Groenendaal

The Drive from BRU to Groenendaal

The route covers 173 km (108 miles), and the typical driving time is 1 h 56 m. That is a proper road journey rather than a short hop, so it helps to plan for it. Groenendaal is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route we serve.

Belgian motorways around Brussels are busy on weekday mornings and late afternoons, and traffic on the ring road can add a noticeable delay. If you have a fixed appointment, a check-in time or a connection at the other end, build in some extra time on top of the standard estimate. Weekend evenings and holiday periods can also slow things down.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

With a private transfer, the whole vehicle is yours. You do not share it with other travellers or stop to collect them. Pick the size according to your group and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) suits solo travellers, couples and small families.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) works for four people with a moderate amount of luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats (1-8 passengers) is a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats cover bigger groups, from a business delegation to a full coach-sized party of up to 48 passengers.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up. Extra room for bags makes a drive of almost two hours more comfortable.

About Groenendaal

Groenendaal is a small place in Belgium, and its name translates from Dutch as roughly "green valley". Because it is a quiet destination, it is worth having the exact street address or accommodation name ready when you book, so the driver can navigate straight to the right door. Arriving by private vehicle also saves you from relying on local connections once you land.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can head there directly.
