Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Grivegnée

The drive from Brussels Airport to Grivegnée

The route covers 97 km (60 miles) and usually takes about 1 h 2 m. You leave the Zaventem area, join the motorway network heading east and finish in the Liège agglomeration, where Grivegnée lies. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Traffic around Brussels and on the approach to Liège can be heavy during the morning and late-afternoon peaks, so build in some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connecting journey after arrival.

Choosing the right vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families will find a private taxi the simplest option. There are taxis for 1-3 passengers and for 1-4 passengers, so check your party size and luggage before choosing. For larger groups, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. A minibus suits a team arriving for a business visit, a family gathering or a group event, since everyone travels together in one vehicle instead of splitting across several cars.

About Grivegnée

Grivegnée is a district on the eastern side of Liège in Wallonia, the French-speaking part of Belgium. It was once a municipality of its own and is now part of the city. It is mainly residential, with local shops and everyday services, and it is close to the city centre. Give your driver the exact street address when you book, so the final stretch through the local roads is straightforward.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage. Head there and look for your name.
