About Gorinchem

Gorinchem, often called Gorcum, is a historic fortified town in the province of South Holland on the river Merwede. Its star-shaped defensive walls and old harbour give the centre a distinctive character, and the town is easy to stroll around on foot. It lies close to the A15 and A27 motorways, which makes it a convenient base for reaching Dordrecht, Rotterdam and Utrecht.
