Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Geel

The Drive from BRU to Geel

The route covers 86 km (53 miles) and typically takes 1 h 3 m. You leave the airport area, join the motorway network and head north-east into the Campine region of Antwerp province. Geel is not one of our busiest destinations, but it is a straightforward run by road, and a private transfer takes you directly to your address without any changes.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families usually book a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Larger parties can choose a private minibus with 8 or 16 seats. For bigger groups, such as company teams, sports clubs or wedding guests, we also offer minibuses with 24, 32, 40 and 48 seats. If you travel with a lot of luggage, pick the next size up so everyone rides comfortably.

Geel as a Destination

Geel is a town in the province of Antwerp, in the Campine area of northern Belgium. It is known for its long tradition of family foster care and for the Saint Dymphna church in the centre. The surrounding landscape is flat, green and dotted with woodland, which makes the town a quiet base for visiting business contacts, family or the wider region.

Allowing Extra Time

The stated driving time assumes normal traffic. Weekday morning and late afternoon rush hours around Brussels and on the motorways towards Antwerp province can be slower, so allow a little more time if you must reach an appointment or a connection. Bad weather can also add minutes, especially in winter.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without any searching.
