It is quieter than the centre but still close to it, and it borders Koekelberg, which is known for its large basilica. Visitors usually come here to see family or friends, or for business in the western districts of Brussels. Give your driver the full street address so the drop-off is exact.

Ganshoren itself has few well-known hotels. The established names are in central Brussels, a short drive away. Two long-standing ones are Hotel Metropole, a historic hotel on Place de Brouckère, and Hotel Amigo, close to the Grand-Place. Both are easy to reach by road from the northwest of the city.
