Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Froyennes

The Drive from BRU to Froyennes

The route covers 112 km (70 miles) and usually takes around 1 h 18 m. Most of the journey is on motorway, heading west and south-west across Belgium towards the French border. Brussels traffic is the main variable. Weekday morning and late-afternoon rush hours can add noticeable time, as can roadworks or bad weather, so allow a buffer if you have a tight appointment or a train to catch at the other end.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For couples, solo travellers or small families, a private taxi takes 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, depending on how much luggage you bring. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. That covers anything from a family reunion to a wedding party or a company outing. Because this route is booked less often, we arrange it on request, so it is best to send your details in good time.

About Froyennes

Froyennes is a village in the Hainaut province, part of the municipality of Tournai and close to the French border. It is a quiet, largely residential place, and many visitors use it as a base for Tournai and the surrounding Wallonia countryside. Give your driver the exact street address when booking, as village roads can be tricky for navigation systems.

Where to Stay Near Froyennes

I cannot name well-known hotels in Froyennes itself with confidence, so here are options in nearby Tournai, a short drive away:

• Hotel Cathédrale, in the old town close to the cathedral
• Mercure Tournai, a chain hotel in the town centre
• Aux Armes de Tournai, a hotel near the railway station

Check the current details with each hotel before you book.
