Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Freux

The drive from Brussels Airport to Freux

Freux lies 152 km (95 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes 1 h 38 m. The route heads south-east across Belgium towards the Ardennes, so most of the journey is on motorway before the road narrows near the end. Allow extra time at weekday rush hours around Brussels, on Friday and Sunday evenings, and in winter. Snow and fog can slow the last stretch in the hills. A less frequently booked route, it is arranged on request like any other transfer, so it helps to share your arrival details in advance.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle depends on the size of your group and how much luggage you bring.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits individual travellers, couples, and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for a group of friends or a larger family with suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: for wedding parties, company groups, clubs, and organised tours heading to the region together.

A single vehicle for the whole group means everyone arrives together after the 152 km trip, with no need to coordinate several cars.

About Freux

Freux is a small village in the Belgian Ardennes, part of the municipality of Libramont-Chevigny in the province of Luxembourg. The surroundings are rural, with forests, meadows, and quiet roads. That is why many visitors come here for a calm stay rather than for city sightseeing. Public transport in such villages is limited, which makes a door-to-door transfer from the airport a practical choice, especially after a long flight.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go there directly from the baggage hall.
