Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Elst

The drive from Brussels Airport to Elst

Elst lies 65 km (41 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 58 minutes. Most of the journey is spent leaving the Brussels area by motorway before the final stretch on smaller regional roads. Weekday morning and late afternoon traffic around the Brussels ring can add time, so allow a little extra if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make at the other end.

This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other. Your driver takes you directly to your address, so there is no need to work out a connection with luggage in tow.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle depends on the size of your group and how much luggage you carry:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and colleagues travelling together.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or groups with extra suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16, 24 and 32 Seats: practical for wedding parties, sports clubs and organised groups.
• Private Minibus 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large groups that want to arrive together in one vehicle.

If your party sits close to a vehicle limit, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their bags.

Elst as a destination

Elst is a small place in Belgium, and the last part of the trip runs through quiet local roads rather than busy city streets. It is worth having the full street address or the name of the venue ready for your driver, as small villages often have similar street names and unclear house numbering. If you are visiting for a family occasion or an event, check the exact arrival point beforehand so the driver can drop you as close as possible.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can head there directly and meet your driver without a long search.
