Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Elingen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Elingen

Elingen lies 34 km (21 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 32 minutes. It is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other. A private transfer takes you from the terminal to the door without any changes along the way.

Traffic around Brussels can slow things down, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. If you have an appointment or a tight schedule in Elingen, it is sensible to add a buffer to the usual 32 minutes. Bad weather can also lengthen the trip.

Which vehicle suits your group

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. There are taxis for 1-3 passengers and for 1-4 passengers, so choose by how many people are travelling and how much luggage you bring.

Larger parties can book a private minibus. The 8-seat minibus suits a group of friends or an extended family. Bigger groups, such as wedding guests, school trips or company teams, can choose from minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Everyone then travels together in one vehicle instead of splitting across several taxis.

Elingen as a destination

Elingen is a small village in Flemish Brabant, part of the municipality of Pepingen in the Pajottenland countryside south-west of Brussels. The area is rural, with farmland and quiet roads, so it feels very different from the airport and the capital. Having a driver who takes you straight to your address is especially helpful here, since public transport in villages like this is limited.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without a long search.
