The drive from BRU to Duffel

Duffel lies 31 km (20 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 25 minutes. This is an occasionally booked route, and every transfer is a private, door-to-door journey.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without wandering around the terminal.

Choosing the right vehicle

For smaller parties, a private taxi is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, and the 4-seat option is useful when you travel with a few extra bags. Larger groups can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits families, work teams, wedding guests and club or school outings that want to arrive together in one vehicle. Pick the size by passenger count, and go one step up if you carry a lot of luggage.

About Duffel

Duffel is a town in the province of Antwerp, on the river Nete. It is best known for the heavy woollen fabric that took its name from the town, which later gave the duffel coat its name. It is a quiet, mostly residential place, which makes it a calm base for visiting family or business contacts in the region.

Planning your timing

The 25-minute drive time is a typical figure. Allow some extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hours, when the roads around Brussels and towards Antwerp get busier. When heading to the airport from Duffel, build in a comfortable buffer before your check-in deadline rather than planning to arrive at the last minute.
